Become an Interior Design Intern

dPOP seeks a creative-minded interior design intern to assist with large- and small-scale projects, in which they will gain professional hands-on experience. For assistance in creating design proposals, space planning, and overseeing a design installations, dPOP is looking for someone who is self-motivated + eager to learn. We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented team members to work alongside designers + vendors throughout the design process.

• Assist design team throughout entire design process

• Conduct programming efforts, including space planning, furniture layouts, lighting and finishes coordination

• Render conceptual, schematic, and design development stages

• Create design presentations in coordination with designers and leaders

• Communicate with vendors and manufacturers

• Collaborate with designers and leaders in brainstorming sessions, design briefs, and team projects

• Professional, reliable + organized

• Detail-oriented problem solver

• Ability to jump in and assist as needed

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to efficiently set and manage priorities

• Ability to work independently and in a team setting

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design, experiential graphic design, or related program

• Must have completed third year of an undergraduate program, or first year of a graduate program

• Submit an online portfolio that demonstrates design process and innovative design solutions (2-4 work samples in .pdf format)

• Experience using AutoCAD highly preferred, Revit and/or BIM modeling software

• Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

• 3D computer rendering skills (Sketch Up, 3D Mas, or other modeling software)

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Hand-sketching ability a plus
