4 Unique Values That Got Us to Year 4
To commemorate our 4-year anniversary, dPOP is reflecting on how far we’ve come, what got us here, and where we’re headed. When it comes down to it, we’ve found that intertwining our values into the way we work has strongly influenced our story. To include you in the celebration, we wanted to share how our 4 cornerstone principles have gotten us this far.
We are immersed in our work- literally. Our studio space is leveraged as a research lab, where we experiment with ever-evolving workspace trends, tools + technology. To consistently develop our design expertise + provide an exceptional client experience, we take advantage of every opportunity to attend industry events, collaborate with local designers, and host weekly vendor visits.
Function is our first priority. Great design (+ detail!) follows. We are facilities-minded, because our roots are in facilities management. In 2013, dPOP hatched from the Quicken Loans facilities team. Our creative workspaces designed for the Family of Companies (FOC) had become notorious, and we began servicing external clients.
Over time we have articulated the process that guides us to discover, define, design, develop, document, and deliver, ensuring that all decisions contribute to the same cohesive concept and enhance each client’s space + productivity.
We don’t do things like everyone else- and that’s a good thing! We approach the workplace from an entrepreneurial perspective to deliver detailed bespoke spaces that celebrate each client’s culture + supports their business goals.
This strategic dedication has driven us to immense growth. Our 100% women-led team has completed 368 custom designs in 15 states. And we’re not done yet!
Combined, these core values shape our culture. Our emphasis on kindness, integrity, and loving what we do has fostered team growth of 775% over 4 years. Initially comprised of 4 people, dPOP has expanded to a diversely skilled team of 35- and counting!
dPOP prioritizes work-life balance as the key to career fulfillment and team member happiness, nurturing both well-being and personal life through schedule flexibility, weekly instructor-led fitness classes, a dog-friendly workspace, family-focused benefits programs, and so much more that we can’t list everything!
And of course, we could never have made it to 4 years without the support and collaboration of our clients, vendors + design community.
